African women not only feed the family, keep the home, tend the young and care for the sick - they also collect firewood for fuel and water for drinking.
And after that's all done, they also do much of the farm-work - up to 80% in some countries. This involves tending to livestock, tilling the soil, planting the seeds and harvesting the produce.
