This project, which has been running since May 2008, aims to increase household income in five villages in Bazega Province, through improved agricultural production.
The project activities include:
•Improving production through improved soil fertility measures and use of improved seed varieties
•Increasing ownership and improving the care of small livestock
•Improving bee-keeping techniques and increasing honey production
•Improving our local partner’s project management skills
Our local partner is Organisation pour une Nouvelle Initiative Communautaire (ORGANIC). ORGANIC is a nonprofit making organization committed to supporting livelihood improvements through increase incomes and the uptake of sustainable agriculture technologies. They have been working on projects in Bazega Province since 2001.
