This pilot project, which starts in July 2008, will work with 50 households in the Boussou district, to increase agriculture production by promoting sustainable agriculture methods. It will also support women developing small businesses and address HIV / AIDS.
The project will:
• Train farmers to construct 30 ha of stones bunds
• Train farmers to construct 100 compost pits and produce compost
• Promote improved seed varieties of bean, sorghum and groundnuts
• Provide 300 kg of improved seed varieties to farmers
• Promote animal husbandry
• Inform farmers about HIV / AIDS
