Bora:

Ethiopia

Located in East Shewa Zone, Self Help Africa's Bora project was concluded in 2009.

The project sought to improve agricultural productivity, and address the wider challenge of food security in an area of Oromia province which suffered erratic rainfall patterns and recurrent drought.

Other work included implementing measures to combat severe environmental degradation, gender inequality, as well as poor access to health service, water and education in the area.
