To order, please call Rachel on 01743 277170 between Monday and Friday, 9am and 5pm, and have you credit or debit card to hand.

Please order by noon on Thursday 11th March to receive your gift card in time for Mother's Day, on Sunday 14th March.

Fuel efficient mud stove: £10

Mud stoveImproved mud stoves use less wood than traditional stoves so women don’t have to spend so long looking for fuel. These stoves are good for the environment too - they run on crop stems, meaning fewer trees will be cut down.

Your gift will supply one woman with equipment and training so she can start using a mud stove.

Vegetable garden: £12

vegetable gardenWhen women learn to set up vegetable gardens, their families' health improves, they can sell the vegetables to earn an income, and they are more able to cope in times of drought.

Your gift will pay for vegetable seeds, gardening tools, so one woman can grow a variety of vegetables.

Access to water: £15

Access to waterClean water brings about huge improvements to a woman’s life. She will spend less time fetching water, her family will be less prone to water borne infections, and there will be water for cooking, cleaning and irrigating her crops.

Your gift could go towards a treadle pump, village water committee or community training in health and hygiene.

Gender awareness workshop: £20- Buy

Gender awareness workshopOur gender workshops encourage the whole community to involve women in community decision making structures. The workshops cover topics such as the value of women’s contributions and the eradication of discrimination and gender based violence.

You gift will pay for men, women and school children to learn about equal relations between men and women.

Beekeeping business: £25

Beekeeping Beekeeping is particularly suited to female farmers because unlike crop-growing, it requires little land. Bees also play an important role in pollinating crops.

Your gift will provide beekeeping training and equipment for one woman, allowing her to process and sell honey at local markets.

Goat: £25

goatGoats provide manure for crops and their milk is a valuable source of protein. This gift keeps on giving as women pass on the offspring to others in their village.

Your gift will allow a woman to access a goat and she will receive training in how to care, feed and house the animal.
