Do you have a special skill you would like to share? IT expert? Finance guru? Or simply great enthusiasm? Your time and knowledge could really make a difference to our office in Shrewsbury.
How would I be helping?
Much of the work done by staff is supported by the work of office-based volunteers. As an office volunteer, your role could include:
Helping to manage electronic and paper databases.
Working on research projects for the fundraising or programmes team.
General office duties.
How much time do I need to give up?
Time would depend on which area of office volunteering you were involved with. For example, if agreeing to a particular project you may be asked to commit a few hours a week. For general office duties you can volunteer as and when you like. If you are unable to travel to Shrewsbury, it may be possible to volunteer from home.
What skills l do I need?
This role should appeal to anyone who is familiar with an office environment and who has some administrative experience. Computer skills such as familiarity with Word, Excel, Power Point, Internet and email would be a bonus. We will give you specific training if required.
