People helping themselves: We enable smallholder farmers to priorities and plan development within their communities and work together to establish the links they need to prosper. We believe that by understanding local concepts of progress and strengthening existing community groups, that people can be proactive in determining their own development.
Viable solutions: We champion practical, low-cost solutions that will have a lasting benefit, and are replicable. These solutions aim to be sustainable. We believe that markets should work for smallholder farmers, we support rural communities to organise and develop the knowledge and skills to establish the links that they need to prosper, and encourage risk reduction and climate adaptation practices that reduce vulnerability, and build resilience in the long-term.
